Angels in Adoption 2005 - Indiana

It is with great pride that I announce Steven M. Kirsh of Indianapolis, Indiana, as my 2005 Angel in Adoption (tm). Mr. Kirsch is the only attorney in the State of Indiana to specialize full-time in the area of adoption. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Kirsh has worked tirelessly to provide insight and compassionate services to his clients, birth parents, and their children. He assisted the Indiana Legislature in a complete review and comprehensive revision of Indiana's laws and regulations concerning adoptions. Because of his hard work with the legislature, Indiana's laws are the benchmark standard and a national model for adoption. During the course of his career, Mr. Kirsh and his firm, Kirsh and Kirsh, have completed nearly 3,000 successful adoptions. I have received several dozen letters praising his hard work and tireless effort on behalf of my constituents and so many Hoosier children and families. Mr. Kirsh was a member of the official U.S. delegation to the final drafting session of The Hague Convention on Inter-Country Adoption. In addition, Mr. Kirsh served as the president of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys frmo 1991 to 1992 and now currently serves as sthe organization's treasurer. Steven Kirsh is truly an inspiration to us all, and every Hoosier should feel proud and lucky to have an attorney of such skill and passion looking out for the needs of our children.
